Each edition distributed a total of R$20k to participants.Half of the donations received were invested in the institutional development of their initiatives, according to the business plan guidelines defined in the 1st month of the program.

– Two R$5k donations will be destined to initiatives with the best scores, composed by attendance and tests taken along – the program, along with a final pitch to the appraisal board

– Eight R$1250 donations to be distributed among the remainder participants with less than one absence from the program

Participants of the program received an extra donation from Próspera Social

What are Masterclasses?

A masterclass is part of the program and aims to share content about race, citizenship and afro-entrepreneurship among women registered in the publication but that haven’t been selected. The masterclass also counts with the presence of selected women and it’s open to everyone.

Networking meetups

Women from both editions of the Avança Preta! Program are in in followup phase, where every month for 6 months share their experiences about developing their initiatives, what they learned in the technical courses and how they built their business plans.

The meetups are mediated by the counselors who then aggregate and document the results and impact the program had in the participant’s businesses – which corroborate with Agbara Fund opening doors to black women access economic rights.

More than that, we’re also positively impacting their self-esteem and autonomy by inserting these women in the themes of race, gender and citizenship
